Who this is for
Property owners whose home was published without their consent. Rights holders whose copyrighted material (art, signage, branded items visible in a tour) was captured without permission. Anyone with a legitimate personal-privacy claim — including if you appear in a walkthrough and never consented.
What to send
Email hello@volumevirtual.com with subject line "Takedown request" and include:
· The exact tour URL(s) — a link like https://volumevirtual.com/t/… or https://volumevirtual.com/a/…
· Your relationship to the material (property owner, rights holder, person depicted, legal representative).
· A short description of the claim.
· Your contact details — name, email, and (for legal notices) a physical address.
· For copyright: a statement of good-faith belief that the use is unauthorized, and an electronic signature.
What happens next
Within 48 hours we verify the request and hide the tour from public access — the URL returns 404 and the tour is delisted from gallery + search. We notify the workspace that published it.
Counter-notice. The publishing workspace has 10 days to respond with a counter-notice if they believe the takedown was in error. If they do, we forward it to you; if you don't file for a court order within 14 days we may restore the tour.
Repeat infringers
Workspaces that receive three verified takedowns in any 12-month period are suspended pending review. Egregious or malicious cases result in permanent account termination without refund.
Bad-faith takedowns
Filing a knowingly false takedown notice may expose you to liability under section 512(f) of the DMCA (US) and equivalent Canadian law. We may report systematic abuse to the relevant authorities.
